About NestByEllis

I am one person who sets up home warranty plans and stays close to them after the paperwork is done.

Bright kitchen with a steel refrigerator, gas range, wall ovens and a sink island

A small shop, on purpose

NestByEllis has one desk and one name on the door, and both are mine. I take the questions, write up the plans and read every agreement before it reaches you.

Staying this small lets me know your home by its details. I remember which furnace you have, how old the dishwasher is and what you asked me last time.

A home warranty is a service contract for the systems and appliances that wear down with use. I would rather explain that slowly now than have you learn what it means in the middle of a breakdown.

Start a Plan

What I hold to with every plan

Reading comes first

I go through the agreement with you line by line, so the limits and the fees feel familiar before any money changes hands.

No padding

If your home has no central air or no gas line, I leave those parts off the plan instead of charging you for them.

One inbox

Your message lands with me and the reply comes from me, written in words you will not need to look up.

Every home has its own list of things that run all day

Tell me what yours runs on.

Begin a Plan

Homeowners I set plans up for

Most people who write to me fit one of these four pictures. If you see yourself in one, a plan is probably worth a look.

New owners

You just got the keys and cannot yet tell how much life is left in the equipment that came with the place.

Long time owners

Your systems have served for a good while, and the repair invoices have started to arrive closer together.

Landlords

You rent the home out and want a clear path to follow when a tenant reports a broken appliance.

Careful budgeters

You would rather plan around a known fee than be caught off guard by a large repair bill.
